Red Bigot RSS* Feeds

Now you don't have to keep visiting the RBG page all the time to see what's new, let your RSS Feed reader do the work for you.

*Really Simple Syndication (RSS) allows you to Subscribe to information "Feeds" defined by various internet sites and have a progam (the RSS Reader or feed reader) on your computer do the checking to see if there are any updates or new entries.  This can happen periodically as configured by you or every time you connect to the internet if you aren't always connected.

You will need an RSS Reader to subscribe to the Feeds. Something like Sage will  work if you use FireFox http://sage.mozdev.org/install/ Or for a standalone reader try:  Feedreader - http://www.feedreader.com/ (it's free, has some default RSS subscriptions so you can see how it all works), Opera has it as a standard feature.

I've set up three feeds.  When you click on button a prompt window will display with the url you need to copy into your RSS Reader to subscribe to the feed.  This popup may be blocked in IE 6, either allow blocked active content temporarily or right-click on the RSS icon and select "Copy Shortcut" from the menu, then paste into your RSS reader.  For Opera, just copy the address into the URL box and press enter, it will ask you if you want to subscribe to the feed.

Note that with FeedReader, you may have to right-click in the internal Browser window and select Refresh to see the latest updates if you've visited the page previously the same day.

Many thanks to Craig (Hypnotoad on Auswine forum) for the suggestion and technical information to get this going.
